By deeply researching, exploring, listening to and investigating your audience, by understanding their needs, problems, desires and dreams, you can better connect. Your work becomes grounded in empathy and service, no matter your sector. It's essential that we offer help and inspiration, empathy and meaning in this fractured world. I write compelling slogans, social media copy, collateral copy and full-length articles to build these connections. I write grant applications and prepare complex process documentation. I craft nifty presentation, put together speaking notes and ghost-write for executives. I work with news releases, story pitches and all elements of brand-building through copy. I plan distribution strategies across a wide scope of channels in a sophisticated way that remains approachable and insightful.
Brand and strategy: Sometimes your communications needs are internal. Sometimes they're external. Most of the time, they're both. It's critical to start with your core stakeholders and ambassadors, to ensure they're feeling 'it'. Get a story, then get the visuals to express the story. Then take that story to the world.

Non-profit Communications: These days, my favourite thing is helping expand and amplify the impact of good people and their great ideas. From creating communications strategies and building websites to content management and brand development, I'm consulting for organizations including Community Foundations, museums, outdoor industry nonprofits, destination management organizations, Indigenous tourism groups and post-secondary institutions.
