Hi. I'm Christie, a writer and communications professional based in Canmore, Alberta. I craft, curate and collaborate on good stories about fascinating places and intriguing people. I put bold words together. I articulate complex concepts, translating them into simple nuggets.
As a journalist, marketer, communicator and humanitarian, I'm interested in using compelling and simple messages to make a difference. I can help you explain things. I can help you connect.
A little bragging, then? My writing has been featured on BBC Radio, in The Guardian UK, The Toronto Star, The Globe & Mail, Financial Times (UK) and on NBC television. I've authored or co-authored more than 10 guidebooks. I've worked in film production in a variety of roles, from fixer to director, for more than 10 years. In 2017, I was a finalist for the CBC Non-Fiction Prize. For the past few years, I was chief storyteller for a large global travel brand, responsible for all aspects of copy and storytelling. Now, I'm focused on helping non-profit and for-impact organizations expand their reaches and do more good. I have a really cute dog named Breezy. Let's connect!
